(2002nd) you're bonkers
At first, she supposed it had been a new form of game show. But it didn't have any of the marks of Bad Wolf corporation; it could have been retro, but it didn't feel like it. She couldn't find any cameras or androids or anything, and to her simple inspection it appeared to be a perfectly ordinary library.

A perfectly ordinary, very large library staffed by a mixture of humans and aliens, where gravity was optional.

She knew, in theory, how to deal with a low-gravity environment, but that didn't help her much here. Her feet kept coming off the ground and staying off, and she nearly hit the ceiling several times.

Which made bumping into an innocent white-haired bystander something of an inevitability.

"Oh! Sorry!" she called, not having a chance to see his face before her momentum knocked her into one of the stacks.

Lynda had been attempting to find the Doctor for thirty minutes, twenty of which were spent being completely lost in the corridors. It's unfair, how many twists and turns the TARDIS has. Too many corridors, all of them unmarked.
And when she gives up her search and waits for him in the Console Room, she feels entirely justified, considering the effort she put into finding him. He's bound to show up sometime.

Okies then. Lynda's claim was approved at [info]au100, so I'm posting the table here (almost all 100, though I didn't put in a full claim. I'm just not sure which one's I'll be doing yet, except that I'm only allowed two or three Writer's Choice). So I'll just tweak it as I go along. Like what I did with the last two Writer's Choices, to remind myself that I'm not allowed all.

Okay. I've been bouncing this idea around in my head for a while, and I think it'll work, providing I remember that LYNDA IS NOT JACK. Sweet, not bitter, yes?
I'll stop blathering and get on with it.
I've been trying to work out a central Verse through which Lynda can communicate with other people in RP. So if any characters that knew-her-when say "I thought you were dead" I won't be left gaping at the screen trying to come up with an explanation on the fly. SO! I have come up with an idea, which may or may not work out, and I wouldn't mind people's opinions?
Still blathering. Right.
I thought that maybe I could say Lynda, off-screen, was revived by Bad Wolf!Rose. (The only other idea I came up with was limbo, and that didn't sit with me too well.) So this semi-neatly brings Lynda back to life in a way that isn't, technically canon, but not denied by canon, either. Since Lynda isn't a carbon copy of Jack (the world would esplode if she was. Really, two Jacks?), she's not going to be affected in the same way that he is. Also she's still in the 2002nd century, not the 21st. I'm not certain what she'll be doing in the 2002nd century, aside from helping the planet pick up the pieces and rebuild (maybe this time they'll get the Fourth Great and Bountiful Human Empire right. Third time's the charm.)
So, yes. That's my idea. My congratulations if you got through the rambling.

Not technically a song for Lynda, but I love it, anyway.

There is a time for love and laughter,
The days will pass like summer storms.
The winter wind will follow after,
But there is love, and love is warm.

There is a time for us to wander
When time is young, and so are we.
The woods are greener over yonder
The path is new, the world is free.

There is a time when leaves are fallin'
The woods are gray, the paths are old.
The snow will come when geese are callin'
We need a fire against the cold.

There is a time for us to wander,
When time is young, and so are we.
The woods are greener over yonder,
The path is new, the world is free.

I know only one person has this journal friended (*waves*), but I link to this journal when I post challenge responses, so.
I've recently (read: tonight) re-done Lynda's journal layout, but I'm a bit worried about the ad that shows up when you click lj-cuts/comment/link. That screen. So basically, does it annoy you? Make it hard to read the entry? Are you indifferent to it?

Since this is primarily a journal for fic, I'm a bit worried about this, and would appreciate feedback on this issue. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: *glowers at LJ* I still can't figure out why it's apparently sending rude_not_ginger('s mun) to a custom-stylized comment page :P, but I've made the header and journal body bigger, so it should be better, at least.

Quote does not really have anything to do with the fic, and is mainly there because I couldn't think of anything else for the lj-cut text. It is also the work of Sir Thomas More.
